I have provided an in depth review of this particular “program” in order to keep you from getting sucked into this miasma of bull****. Hopefully, after reading this article, you will be able to decide for yourself if the Work at home institute is a scam or legit.
Normally when I do a review, I try to get involved in the program (without damage) so I can give a more accurate review. This program has the nefarious distinction of one I actually did become involved with before I discovered something better.
Now if you will notice, I posted two images. Which one do you think is for the Work at Home Institute? Notice they are almost exactly the same? I say almost because if you click on the images you’ll see one requires a primary email and zip code while the other wants your phone number and email.
That is because the one on the left is for Work At Home Institute scam and the other is from the Work At Home University scam. Same package, different wrapping. Unfortunately I didn’t discover that little gem until after the fact. The following is all about my personal experience with this steaming pile of poo.
By the way; This is what it looks like now:
Wah Institute Overview
This program contains 10+ videos designed to teach about affiliate marketing. This nugget of information isn’t revealed until after you’ve shelled out the 97$. The videos make it seem really easy to get involved in affiliate marketing when it really isn’t. They cover three different ways to make money following three “easy” procedures. This what i saw in the first video:
In the first one, a website is required. They offer you a “Bonus” of a free website, but you have to pay over $200 for someone else to design and build it for you. How is that free, I ask you?
This step tells you to write articles for submission to websites where you can publish articles for free. This is known as content marketing. that include your affiliate link which is acquired after you join an affiliate program.
Step three illustrates how to post affiliate links in classified ad listings.
In the second step they tell you to call some 1-888 number where you are supposed to receive a private consultation from a business professional. I called the number and left a message. When my call was returned the next day, all the person did was ask me what kind of credit rating I had, and that was the end of my personal consultation.
The program contains further videos by a guy (I forget his name) who claims to teach all this for free because his new endeavor is helping people. His domain is startupfreedom.com which was sold at auction on Flippa two years ago.
Pros VS Cons
- They did refund my money (but they tried to talk me out of it first so I had to get a little fierce)
- The 97$ is paid up front before they tell you what it is.
- They propagate the idea that it is really easy to get involved in affiliate marketing.
- I wasn’t able to contact the owner directly (I think she was fictitious)
- I was rejected by every affiliate company I signed up for because I didn’t have a website.
- Support system was a joke.
- No free trial
- Held back information with more detail unless I upgraded (mo money)
Puh-lease!!! I have to admit the videos are pretty and have some useful information, but it is information purchased from startupfreedom.com and not really original. There are approximately 40 videos and the more I watched them the more I was convinced I needed more knowledge on the art of building a website. That was never discussed. I was only referred to places where I could purchase a domain name (mo money) and obtain hosting (mo money). For instance I didn’t know:
- What a domain name is
- What hosting is
- What a DNS is and why it’s important
These are the three main points in having a live website, but I had to find that out for myself. As a result, all my attempts at making my own website failed miserably.
WAH Institute Support System
Another big Puh-lease! There was an area called support where I could fill out support tickets to receive help on whatever issue was troubling me. I filled out exactly three support tickets and was promptly ignored. I had to call them on their support line (had to pay for the call too. mo money) which closed after 8pm central standard time. This was of no benefit to me as I usually develop issues at three o’clock in the morning.
One other item they had at their support site was a little box to toggle in order to contact Bobbie Robinson directly. When I did, I was informed that it was impossible to contact her directly but she had a whole lot of competent employees who were able to assist me with my issues.
So I’m thinking….If is impossible to contact “her” directly why put that little box there at all? Don’t they know it makes them look bad? That was pretty much the final straw. So then I asked for my money back (they provide a 60-day guarantee) in a support ticket, and after four days I ended up calling them. What I would like to know is… where is that slew of competent employees she has at her disposal?
So What Do I Think?
I don’t think I know. This “program is a complete waste of time. Not only will they try to take your money, they try to take more by using the so-called “financial expert”, “giving” you a “free” website, and other sinister useless upgrades once they get you inside to the members area. Don’t waste your time or money.
